Certificate II in Business

Business Administration plays an important role in all working environments. With experience and sometimes further study, it is possible to advance to higher positions, such as offi ce administrator, record keeper, front line manager or legal administrator. The skills you will develop throughout this program will stay with you through your future education and employment.

(Wednesday 9.00 - 3.30pm).

Duration

1 year.

Work Placement

80 hours / 10 days throughout the year .
5 days during Term 3 school holidays, 5 days for the first five Wednesdays of Term 3.

Selection Criteria

Interview to discuss program expectations and student suitability.

  • Use business technology

Materials

You will be required to dress appropriately for your work placement
i.e. black pants/skirt, plain shirt but NO Denim.
Required work books is built into course fees.
Basic stationery is required for written components.

Contribution

VCAL counts towards Industry Related Skills strand.
VCE Program 1 (1st Year): On successful completion of the 1st Year, students are eligible for Certificate II in Business and recognition for three VCE VET units at 1–2 level. If a student is undertaking VCAL, this program can count towards the Industry Related Skills strand.

Accounts Clerk, Administrative Assistant, Clerical Officer, Receptionist, Secretary, Human Resources Assistant.
