The Bendigo Bank Goes ASBA
Bendigo Bank goes ASBA program 2009 and Beyond
In early 2009, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank chose to partner with Youth Connect and the Bayside Glen Eira and Kingston Local Learning & Employment Network to participate in the School Based Traineeship scheme. Throughout the program the students from Sandringham College and Cheltenham Secondary College, have demonstrated an eagerness to learn, a great attitude and a willingness to achieve and more importantly develop valuable life skills and assisting them to gain practical experience in transitioning into the workforce. Furthermore, this experience helps the students make more informed choices about their future careers and education pathways. The program has also been a great benefit to branch staff, who have greatly enjoyed coaching and mentoring the students and in particular it has enabled them to really put their leadership and communication skills into practice.
The Bendigo Bank is rolling the successful Bendigo Bank goes ASBA program out across the country in 2010. In order to ensure a consistent model of delivery across the country, the pilot program across the Southern Metro region of Melbourne will cease in July 2010. Enrolments for the National Bendigo and Adelaide Bank program will take place in term 4 of 2010. Successful applicants will start their traineeship at Bendigo Bank branches in February 2011.
Youth Connect and the BGK LLEN are happy to introduce this exciting program to this region in partnership with SE LLEN LCP. Youth Connect is running an information session for schools, parents and student who are interested in learning more about the Bendigo Bank Goes ASBA program.
